Before we begin to talk about the splendiferous Walton Hall and Gardens Food Festival, can we take a moment to reflect on the recent change in weather…

Did you notice anything curious over the last weekend? We did. That big yellow ball in the sky, you know the one, the star that warms us all up, made a welcome appearance.

While it may still be a bit chilly, the sun has definitely got his hat on. Its effects can be seen in the countless daffodils springing up throughout the estate, and across town. The buds are growing on the trees, and some trees are already beginning to blossom. Spring has sprung folks – and it’s good to have the golden orb back after a dark and dismal February.

So, with the evidence of spring all around, we thought it high time to dust away the winter cobwebs and look forwards to our spring/summer events programme.

Calendar highlight

Like any good narrative, we want to start at the beginning – and what a beginning to this years events programme. It’s the return of the super-duper, calendar highlight – Walton Hall and Gardens Food Festival

Once again, over the weekend of 18 and 19 April, our entire estate will be transformed into a foodie paradise. With artisan producers everywhere, from our Old Riding School, the Stables Yard, our lawns to the bandstand – you’ll be spoilt for choice. In addition to tasty hot food, beautiful cakes and treats, craft ale, hot and spicy Asian cuisine, we’ll also have some super live music. A gathering not to be missed…

Springtime fun on your doorstep

Expect the best that Cheshire has to offer throughout the estate. If you like quality products, a good get together with friends and family and the beautiful outdoors, then this is NOT a weekend to be travelling to North Wales. Though we’re big fans of North Wales, on this weekend, we reckon our spring headliner is worth staying local for!

Perhaps if we start perfecting our sundance now, we may be in with a chance of some long-overdue warm weather too…

Best of all and perhaps the deal clincher – this event is FREE to enter (car park charges apply).

Boom.

18 and 19 April is now officially family time at Walton Hall and Gardens Food Festival...
