After a tough year, with more curve-balls on the way (potentially), how about some good news? In 2019 we announced our plans to construct a family orientated high ropes adventure course at Walton Hall and Gardens. A lot has happened since we did, so we’d forgive you if it had slipped your mind. Building work was due to start mid-March but was interrupted by the pandemic. However, we’re delighted to announce that week beginning 21 September, construction will finally start.
During the build, the woodland walk will be closed to the public. We’ll also be cordoning off a small area of lawn next to the woodland walk site to allow for deliveries. However, the cordoned off areas won’t have any impact on our leading visitor attractions such as the Children’s Zoo and adventure playground.
The project is being built and operated by Jungle Parc, one of Europe’s leading high rope course specialists. Managing high-wire adventure courses in Liverpool, Irchester and Lydiard they’re the perfect match for this new venture. The design at Walton Hall and Gardens will allow for both adults and children to climb together, making our site even more family-friendly. And it’s green too, as all high ropes will be made from environmentally friendly materials, with structures built carefully so as not to inhibit the trees natural growth.
A win-win. Watch this space.
We’re hoping that the development will be finished in the new year.
