The Old Riding School at Walton Hall and Gardens is set to be transformed this September for a unique musical night out.

Old Time Sailors, a crew of 17 performers, will take to the stage on Saturday 23 September with an evening of music and dancing that will capture life at sea.

The Old Riding School will be converted into a 19th century sailing vessel for the occasion, with steamer trunks, whisky barrels and fishing nets to truly set the scene.

The musical flash mob will perform for three hours in their nautical themed set and every member of the audience will receive a copy of the ‘Sunday Sailor’, the band’s newspaper themed programme which includes the lyrics to all of the songs, so everyone can join in and sing the night away.

The sailors will only be docking into Warrington once during their 2023 tour, with other shows selling out quickly due to high demand.

Cllr Tony Higgins, cabinet member for leisure and community, said: “We’re excited to be bringing the brilliant Old Time Sailors to Warrington for this unique musical experience in September.

“We’re also pleased that this will be the first event to take place in The Old Riding School following restoration works, which means Walton will be able to host a range of new and exciting events just like this, for years to come.

“Tickets for this event are limited, so make sure you don’t miss out on this one of a kind show and book yours today!”

This is an 18+ only show and drinks will be available to purchase on the night. Tickets are £15 per person and are on sale now via our events page.
