Zoo rangers at Walton Hall and Gardens are delighted to announce three new arrivals at the Children’s Zoo.

Both first time mums, Nina gave birth to twins – a boy and a girl – on Tuesday 9 May, followed closely by Toffee who welcomed her newborn, another little girl, on Thursday 11 May.

The new additions are yet to be named and the Children’s Zoo team are again asking the public for their help to give the newborns the perfect titles, with the winners being gifted a year’s goat adoption as well as the honour of naming the kids.

Longstanding ranger at the zoo, Peter Cookson-Dean, said: “We are really pleased with this year’s kids, all three will be staying with us and joining our educational programme in the future, and we’re looking forward to seeing what ideas our visitors come up with for their names!”

The competition is open now and will close in one weeks’ time at midday on Friday 2 June, with the winners being announced the week following. To enter, simply comment your name suggestions on the competition post on Walton Hall and Garden’s Facebook page.

Visitors can visit the kids now, as they are on display in the paddock between the pigs and the donkeys, along with the other animals in the Children’s Zoo every day between 10.30am and 5pm with free entry.
