Well, it’s been quite a year for everyone. At Walton Hall and Gardens, we’ve put on a brave face and for the most part, have managed to keep the gardens open.

Aside from closing during the initial lockdown, our gardens have been open for you all to enjoy. Thanks to our staff who put in hours of work to make the estate covid-secure, we’ve enjoyed seeing so many people enjoy the great outdoors at Walton Hall and Gardens.

This Christmas…

We were upset not to offer our fantastic range of events this year, and like many other venues, decided to postpone all events until next year. Now, we’ve had many questions about Christmas 2020 and what, if anything we’ll be doing. Many of you have made it a Christmas tradition to come to Walton Hall and Gardens to visit Santa in his grotto and latterly attend our superb Christmas cinema.

Unfortunately, like the rest of 2020, we’ve had to make the difficult decision of cancelling all such events. It’s our sincere hope that these events will be back in 2021, along with a few additional events that will light up 2021. Until then, perhaps this year you might like to keep the Walton tradition alive and visit the gardens pre and post-Christmas.

What’s open over Christmas

We have a range of attractions open over the festive period including adventure golf (weather permitting), the Children’s Zoo and everyone’s favourite pit stop – The Heritage Cafe – will be open throughout the period.

So, you see, there’s still plenty to see and do, even if Father Christmas is breaking with his usual schedule. Hopefully, we’ll still see you all at some point over the holidays taking in some fresh air, walking off your festive dinner or just popping in for a Christmas coffee at the cafe. Whatever the reason for your visit – remember, it’s not really Christmas without a visit to Walton Hall and Gardens.
