We’re very proud to announce that we officially received the World Travel and Tourism Council’s international ‘Safe to Travel’ stamp this week.

Using the World Health Organisation and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines and developed alongside leading industry associations and international organisations, this stamp is given to attractions that have a role in supporting the recovery of the UK tourism sector.

‘We’re Good to Go’

The ‘Safe to Travel’ stamp also complements our ‘We’re Good To Go’ badge, awarded to us by Visit England last year. Like the ‘Safe To Travel’ stamp, this scheme assesses whether an attraction has correct covid-safe requirements in place, including social distancing and cleansing routines.

Commenting on these achievements, Neil Simpson, Walton Estate Manager, said:

We always ensure that Walton Estate’s grounds and facilities are cleaned, maintained and laid out in an exemplary fashion and have regularly received national awards confirming this. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the team on-site ensured that safe distances, directional travel and enhanced cleansing became the main priority. The fact that we have received both of these target awards shows our dedication and priorities.

Once the government ease the current restrictions, we look forward to welcoming back visitors from either 500 yards or 5000 miles away.

So, rest assured, your safety is in good hands. Next time you visit – you can feel safe knowing we go above and beyond government requirements.

Fresh air? We’re here

As always, our park continues is open for daily exercise. As is the Children’s Adventure Playground, and of course, the coffee shop is available for takeaway.

Find out what we’ll be opening when in our recent news item on the government’s four-step programme.
