We’re very fortunate to have the Friends of Walton Hall Estate working with us at Walton Hall and Gardens.
The Sensory Garden and Zoo clock are tangible testaments to their stellar work across the estate over the years. Notwithstanding their constant presence volunteering at events, they’re also unswerving ambassadors for our beautiful Hall and its heritage. In our opinion, they’re a jolly good crew!
Did you know that they were also a significant voice in starting the campaign to save our Conservatories? The complete renovation of the glasshouses is a testament to partnership working and what that can achieve.
Earlier this month, the Friends very kindly presented a cheque for £1000 to be used toward the planting in the Atrium of the Conservatory. Including, we might add, the all-important Banana Plant which is forever remembered and linked to the glasshouse.
Pictured is Julia and Catherine from the Friends handing over the cheque to Gilly (our Partnership Co-Ordinator ) and Sean (Operations Manager for Walton Estate).
If you’d like to know more about joining the Friends, please check out our volunteering page. You can get involved as much or as little as you are able and all support is really appreciated!
